Workshop Overview and Outcomes:
This workshop will provide the steps needed for you to start your private practice and to apply to take health insurance in order to be able to receive insurance reimbursement on behalf of your clients. It provides an overview of the claims filing process for nutrition consultations.
Upon successful completion of this training, you will be able to:
- Apply knowledge of payment and reimbursement models
- Negotiate payment and reimbursement for clients/patients in order to promote access to care
- Demonstrate effective problem solving and professional judgment to address a need

Workshop begins promptly at 8:30 am and there are short breaks in-between. No breakfast or lunch included.
Kendall Singleton, MPA oversees sales and outreach at Healthy Bytes, a platform for getting nutrition professionals set up with and paid by insurance companies. She has presented on the benefits of accepting insurance, setting up a private nutrition practice, and billing logistics to hundreds of aspiring and current nutrition professionals across the country. Prior to joining Healthy Bytes, Kendall worked with a nutrition program at Columbia University, where she also earned her public policy graduate degree.
